The Wetherly Project was approved by the Los Angeles City Council on September 30, 2009. The approvals include the following:

  • Vesting Tentative Tract Map No. 68577
  • Zone and Height District Change from [Q]R4-1-O to (T)(Q)R4-2-O
  • Modification to allow a maximum of 12-stories and approximately 152 feet in height for the tower
  • Maximum of 95 units
  • Maximum Floor Area Ratio (FAR) of 4.5:1
  • Minimum of 2 covered off-street parking spaces per unit plus ½ guest parking spaces per unit

The Wetherly Project includes the following community benefits and enhancements:

  • 48-unit multi-family residential property to be utilized for employee-based housing
  • Contribution to the Third Street Valet and Beautification Program
  • Total of 4 Community Design Workshops to present design plans to interested stakeholders and solicit input
  • Retain existing mature trees onsite to the maximum extent feasible and enhance landscaping along Project street frontages (Wetherly Drive, Third Street and Almont Drive)
  • All Project parking to be provided onsite, decreasing off-street parking demand along Wetherly and Almont Drives
